Start Improving Your Ford Mustang

There are several ways you can boost your car's performance or appearance. One on the best places to begin with is by tuning your car or truck. Following a few steps will get you on your way to an attractive look quickly. Choose anyone in the methods below is a good idea to your look and gratification. Using a blend of some or all on the below is a brilliant choice.      Please don't allow the junk that's on your car to slow you down. Clean it up. Having a car filled with junk may affect your MPG, handling, braking, distance and many others. Too much junk may also obstruct your view and grow dangerous.
Do you look at tire pressure often? Don't let your tires become under inflated. Low tire pressure will kill your mileage. Under inflated tires will often wear out much faster too. To insure that the tires are properly inflated this can be a good idea to test them often. To inflate your tires you'll be able to by a small air compressor or visit your local gas station.
Check out the oil real regularly. An oil change may be just the thing you may need. I know that this seems quite obvious although not everyone does it. Oil today is more effective than it was the past decades but this does not mean, under any circumstances, that you don't have to change it regularly. A car's oil is very important as it cools and lubricates internal components. Your oil may be considered as the blood associated with the engine.
Older cars can be helped by new bushings. New polyurethane bushing can easily make a huge difference. Your car will run smoother and handle better for now on.
Spark Plugs & Air Filters are your friends. Don't ignore them. Both of these car parts are crucial if you want to be ready to get good mileage or performance.
A good series of tires is significant. If your car don't even have good traction, it truly is more than just uncomfortable to push, it can be dangerous . Ensuring that your tires have good traction is important on your safety.
A good list of rims could make your car look nice. A car just doesn't seem complete if not using a nice couple of rims.
Try to ·Replace Your Exhaust Regularly. This simple upgrade can assist both MPG and give your car or truck a race car sound.
Adding a body kit to your car will turn heads and offer your auto a distinctive look that almost all don't have. By far one on the best investments as far having a look goes.
Cover that car of yours. Dirty cars look terrible regardless of type of vehicle. Your garage or any other safe place won't keep you happy either. Dust and dirt might make its way into your garage and also over time collect on your car or truck. Look for a quality cover that can last before choosing. There are a number of options from waterproof covers to indoor garage covers.  As with any project it is very important to understand that not everything are going to be done right away. Don't let assembling your project add a damper for your day. Have a plan finally and  enjoy yourself all together!

The Amazing Story Of The Ford Mustang

The Ford Mustang is among the best known and easily recognized vehicles traveling in the roads today. Who doesn't recognize the sporty chrome pony emblazoned with the shiny paint of any Ford Mustang?

But I bet a lot of you don't know a brief history of the Mustang. Well start your time capsule and join me for just a ride back in the year 1964. To be more specific, at March 9 in 1964.

That was the morning that the 1st Ford Mustang rolled off of the assembly line. It was a simple white convertible having a red interior that made a sensation to most  Americans. As a matter of fact, within eighteen months, Ford sold over 2 million Mustangs!

Just a few months after its introduction, Ford began introducing changes with the '65 Mustang, including a bigger engine, reverse lights, plus an AC alternator.

In the very first two years of their existence, the Mustang broke sales records, wowed the general public, and left competitors far behind.

The next job for that Mustang ended up being to take down the Chevrolet Corvette inside world of racing. That job was assigned to Carroll Shelby, the famous race car developer and driver. The result was the unforgetable GT / Cobra series of cars.

In 1967, Ford introduced a brand new and redesigned Mustang, that had a 335 HP engine, along with many improvements, letting it to continue it's massive popularity.

Ford continued for making improvements and modifications to the Mustang, and yes it remained highly popular, regardless of rising gas prices, rising premiums, emissions standards, etc caused muscle cars some hard times within the early 70's.  The Ford Mustang continued to dominate the market and sell well, while some of their competitors went out of production, such as was the Barracuda.

The Ford Mustang almost died from the late 80's, though, partially because of slumping sales. But Mustang fans and lovers started writing Ford some letters and complained, and Ford made the decision to give the Mustang a redesign and another try. Sales started rising again, while the Mustang remains a popular and famous car even today.

The Ford Mustang Shelby GT500

The 2013 Shelby GT500 was the newest addition towards the legendary Mustang line. It was a really powerful and extremely fast car, that has been not a surprise, since Mustangs have invariably been that way. This one was even more efficient and faster than almost every other Mustang built thus far, though. That's why we must start wearing down the numbers without delay.
The 2013 Shelby was included with a ferocious supercharged 5.8-liter V8 engine, generating 650hp horsepower and 600 lb of torque. It's a rear-wheel drive car, that has a 6-speed manual transmission, which supplies for a smooth gear change. These attributes help it to get from 0 to 60 in only 3.5 seconds, and develop maximum speeds of 200 mph. You might think who's would be tricky to control this beast at these incredible speeds, nevertheless, you shouldn't be concerned about that. There was an outstanding Electronic Stability Control System, together with Brembo front brakes and standard hydraulic gas-pressurized shock absorbers. Although the Shelby in my humble opinion can't compare for the likes of Ferrari, Lamborghini or Porsche with regards to exterior design, is still a pretty good looking car. There were a few changes made regarding previous models. The HID headlamps were now standard for that Shelby, too for all the other Mustang models. There were two teams of triple LED taillights, which with the headlights perform a sporty and edgy look. Also, two intakes replaced the earlier grille, that has been a huge change. Forged-aluminum wheels come being a standard feature within the GT500. The interior with the 2013 Shelby offered comfortable and ergonomically designed leather seats, and also leather wrapped tyre with aluminum spokes along with a seamless instrument panel with aluminum accents. The beautiful ambient lighting about the doors and cup holders was easily obtainable in seven colours, and you also could pick one of 125 available colours as lighting with the instrument gauges. The speakers featured an HD radio with 6 speakers in addition to two subwoofers, there was a 4.2-inch LCD screen at the top in the centric console. It showed performance metrics, including acceleration times and g-force readings, thanks towards the Track App. Mileage estimated were 15 mpg for city driving and 24 mpg for highway driving.  Prices begun at $54,200 for the basic edition.
In conclusion, the 2013 Mustang Shelby GT500 was a fantastic continuation from the great Mustang tradition, offering a really fast ride in a very comfortable interior, with new for the time, modernized looks that will appealed towards the younger consumers, in addition to the older population which had a special sentimental connection to this classic American muscle car. Apart from this product, Ford was utilizing Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) on another exciting project, the SEMA Mustang Build Powered by Women. The goal of this project was to turn the spotlight on women working the automotive world.

Taking a Road Trip with a Ford Mustang GT Convertible

Owning a Ford Mustang vehicle has several benefits. One of my personal favorites is summer car journeys. Every year I map out a destination, pack my Mustang, striking the road: every year I return home from the trips with new photos, new friends, and lots of new memories to handle me through prior to the next year. No doubt, the Mustang creates a great companion on the street. In fact, in May of 2009 Kelly Blue Book listed the Ford Mustang Convertible as among the "Best Road Trip Cars" for sale at that date. The publication said, "The Ford Mustang convertible is really a good-time party vehicle." Good old times of the past, indeed. Memorable little Journeys and Not So Memorable ones... Looking back, one among my favorite Mustang trips was for the Mustang Club of America's 2008 Grand National. The two-day journey required from my home in Los Angeles, Calif. to your mountains of Park City, Utah. There were many stops as you go along such as my night in Las Vegas, Nev., a visit on the Shelby Corner Cafe, plus a drive through the majestic deserts of northwest Arizona.
A favorite area of the trip was finding other Mustang enthusiasts from the highway. Another memorable road trip involved to Palm Springs, Calif. where I crossed paths having a Hollywood chimp going for a 1966 Mustang out and play with it. Who would have guessed chimps are into Mustangs?
My least memorable excursion was my 48-hour journey from Northern New Jersey to Southern California. The trip began with a Friday night and ended with my arrival in Los Angeles on Sunday eve. We are talking about an epic marathon outing! My driving companion and I drove non-stop all weekend long. Pit stops and low breaks kept us amongst people. Of course, years later, almost all of the trip is really a blur. I can't say it had been the most enjoyable excursion I've driven, however it ranks up there among the most interesting. My advice is to take the time on the highway. There's no real reason to rush an excursion. Of course, no excursion is complete if not using a side trip; greater random it will be the better. I remember a road trip to your SEMA Show in 2007. My usual route was closed and I was expected to take Nevada back roads to Las Vegas. I came across really old ghost towns, forgotten from Gods and humans, tumbling weeds within the lonely two-lane highway. The change of scenery was obviously a welcome surprise. One that hardened time for scenic trips of previously. Back when roads for example Route 66 were inside their prime. Although they may be hard to seek out, roads like this do still exist. With a little planning you'll be able to incorporate one in your next journey. A great source would be the Website America's Byways, that gives a listing of America's most scenic roads, detailed with road maps plus more.
Preparing for your Trip: Road trips with your Mustang could be a great experience. You just want to you should definitely have everything if you want before you leave. For instance, never take a journey without checking the car to make sure it's in good working order. You will also want to definitely have all your important documents in the vehicle. Which documents? Oh, insurance and vehicle registration can be a must. Other items including maps, snacks, good music, as well as an emergency kit are very important as well.
With a little planning, your next journey is sure to be considered a blast. Just remember, with car journeys it's not the destination which makes the big difference, but the journey of getting there. Happy trails and even more happy motoring!
